Valentine’s Day. You either love it or hate it. There's no in-between. This day of romance has truly divided us all into two categories:
1. The hopeless romantics who make their VDay plans a month in advance and have no shame ugly crying to The Notebook or Love Actually
2. Those who will be the first to remind you that Valentine’s Day is a “Hallmark Holiday” purely created for commercial purposes
So whether you secretly wish to live out a rom-com film or roll your eyes at the sight of teddy bears and chocolates, we can probably all agree on one thing: love is a beautiful feeling that should be celebrated and cherished. This year Valentine’s Day falls on a Sunday, which also happens to be the day before a federally recognized holiday – Presidents’ Day. So if you’re employed by a bank, school, mail service etc., by all means take this opportunity to celebrate Valentine’s Day on the true date of February 14th!
